Historical information

The Rebecq Historical Association (created in October 1991) aims namely at celebrating the remembrance of the liberation of the city of Rebecq by American forces in 1944.
The buzzword of the RHA is "Do not forget".

This re-enactment event took place on October 12, 2008.
The camp was located at:
32, rue du viaduc
B-7060 Soignies (site of the old quarry of "noir facteur").

The path followed during the event was mainly the outskirts of Soignies, this means:

Neufvilles

Soignies quarry

Personal note

The convoy of multiple military vehicles stopped at many occasions in order to honor the fallen resistance of Rebecq (40-45 Resistance Memorial as well as the graves of resistants).
