Personal note

This is a quite recent museum (end April 2009) focused on the liberation of the Region (Flanders) by Anglo-Canadian forces.
This was a splendid museum divided into two parts: the "uniform" section and the "war vehicles" section.
Making photos was quite hard because of the relative dark environment but a visit is definitely worth it.
Vehicles have been properly restored (the sole missing thing is sometimes informative panels for a few vehicles).
Incredible but true: you just have to come by train at Knokke then you take the bus (nr 3) which brings you directly in front of the museum!!!
Toilets and any accomodation are completely new!
There is also a small shop where you mainly can purchase books (the sole missing thing is the sales of T shirts with the logo of the museum, I say this because many articles are sold with such logo like pens but no T-Shirt so far).

This is a place to discover, furthermore you have the opportunity to go for a walk along the Atlantic sea....

Year of visit: October 2009
