Historical information

Liberty Park is a museum park in Overloon, the Netherlands, which is 14 hectares in size. It was here that the greatest tank battle in Dutch history took place in the autumn 1944. It is now the location of the Dutch National War and Resistance Museum. World War II is presented in a special way here, with artifacts and displays.

The famous Marshall Museum, where the largest collection of military vehicles in Europe are on display, can also be found here. All of this is located in park-like surroundings, where you can have a wonderful stroll. Visit Liberty Park and experience the liberation yourself.

The official website of the museum stands here.

Location information

The museum is located at Museumpark 1 in Overloon (Holland). Take exit 7 of the Nijmegen-Venloo A73 highway.

Personal note

You have two museums in one: the former Overloon National War and Resitance Museum AND the Marshall Museum (previously located at Zwijndrecht). You can add to this combinaison military vehicles displayed on Liberty Park. This is one of the largest museum in Holland (more than three hours are necessary to visit this place). Many diaporamas are used to present tanks and other vehicles in combat situation. All of them are perfectly restored. A "must" located at only 30 km of Nijmegen (Holland) and 130 km of Liège (Belgium).
