The museum

The Ensival Historical Museum is a private museum that is open to everyone, so that we never forget the suffering and the lives lost for our liberty.

Around fifty models are displayed there. They represent the occupation and the liberation of the region of Grand Verviers. The museum is arranged on two floors and the collection can be seen in five rooms. Numerous photos and documents are on display.

The museum houses the Centre Archéologique Militaire (CAM - Military Archaeological Centre), which recently found the pilot of an FW190 shot down in 1944 and buried in April 2003 in Lommel. The photos of the searches carried out by the CAM are available in the museum.

The CAM is available to everyone for any searches in the region.

The visits are not guided but the curator will be more than happy to tell you the stories behind the various objects.

You may contact museum authorities by phone (+32 (0)87 33 93 88).

The official website of the Museum stands here.
